Lifting the lid on the usage of programmable devices
The use of programmable devices in electronic products is increasing amongst companies in the UK as designers move away from fixed function parts. But this trend is exposing potential skills gaps and similar issues.
In response to this trend, NMI and New Electronics have launched the largest survey of its kind to examine the usage of FPGAs and other programmable devices amongst UK companies.
The aim of the survey is to test assumptions and to discover common trends and challenges - for example, in skills and design methods and future expectations.
The results of the survey, which is open until 31 October 2014, will be published by NMI and New Electronics during November and December.
