Silicon Valley Comes to Oxford

Taking place at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and venture capitalists will join MBA students and the local high tech spin out community in Oxford on 21 November, for the 11th anniversary of Europe's preeminent entrepreneurship gathering.
The theme of Silicon Valley comes to Oxford is 'Unlocking Growth'. In a series of masterclasses, plenary sessions and discussion groups, Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, innovators, investors will engage with students, alumni and guests to share actionable insights on how to scale, start and run great technology companies.

Following the success of last year, the event will again host an Oxford Union debate (evening of Sunday 20th November) where speakers Erik Brynjofsson and Andrew McAfee (co-authors of Race Against the Machine: How the Digital Revolution is Accelerating Innovation, Driving Productivity, and Irreversibly Transforming Employment and the Economy) will put forward the motion: "This House believes that accelerating technology is irreversibly transforming employment and the economy". (A limited number of press passes are available).
On Sunday afternoon entrepreneurs from among Oxford alumni will join an experience sharing session including one to one mentoring from the speakers. A limited number of press passes are available for those particularly interested in start ups from the next generation of entrepreneurs. Successful and established alumni entrepreneurs will be sharing their insights.
