As electronic systems become ever more pervasive the environments in which they operate are becoming increasingly complex often calling for demonstrable compliance to safety and security standards. Whilst representing significant opportunities, developers are aware they need to overcome significant V&V (validation and verification) challenges where the complexity of the environment and the potential for unexpected emergent behaviours means that traditional approaches will not be sufficient.
Held at the University of the West of England, this event will focus on V&V of the software for such systems. It will be of interest to engineers and engineering mangers engaged in software development, verification and test within a complex embedded systems environment.
