Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) is now a successful medium in the UK, with growing support in other countries. But whilst a greater range of content has allowed consumers gain confidence in DAB, another standard has appeared – Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM, www.drm.org). So what is DRM? Is it an alternative to DAB and how will it affect consumer radio development?
