50W dc/dc converter cuts board space and cost
Targeted at IT equipment, telecom and industrial systems, the PQA50-D from CUI is claimed to be one of the smallest 50W dc/dc converters on the market.
The low cost device is available in a 50.8 x 25.4mm package, and incorporates six sided metal shielding for improved EMC performance and efficiencies up to 93%.
The device is designed to maintain high efficiency across the entire input voltage range - including under light loads. It is available with an 18 to 36Vdc or 36 to 75Vdc input voltage range and 3.3, 5, 12, 15 or 24Vdc output voltages.
In addition, the converter has 1500Vdc input to output isolation and protections for output over voltage, short circuit, over load and input under voltage.
Additional features include an operating temperature range of -40 to 85°C, remote on/off control, and voltage adjustability of +/-10%.
