Arrow launches online fpga power design platform
Arrow Electronics has launched a cloud based design platform for field programmable gate array (fpga) power solutions.
The company says the FPGA Power Designer will allow engineers to define and optimise power supply systems, such as converter specifications, in minutes.
"Engineers are now able to accelerate an otherwise time consuming process for designing and configuring power supply systems," commented David Spragg, vp of semiconductor engineering at Arrow. "The Arrow FPGA Power Designer eliminates the need for data sheet research and calculation."
The platform is said to leverage fully interactive schematics, allow instant verification of voltages and connections, and generate a bill of materials for the design. Teams can share designs using a collaboration module, with a report of design parameters automatically compiled for download.
