BAE Systems, MASS sign electronic warfare technology MOU
BAE Systems and MASS have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to coordinate business development activities related to electronic warfare technology that will enable effective capabilities for export customers.
Through BAE Systems' platforms and MASS's operational support, the partnership is designed to offer customers electronic warfare training and data management, operational analysis, countermeasure development, mission data validation and mission evaluation.
"It is great to be working with BAE Systems on their technology transfer programmes in support of export platform sales," said MASS md Ashley Lane. "This supports our aim to assist other nations to build an indigenous capability in the operational support and use of modern electronic warfare systems."
Electronic warfare refers to any military action involving the use of the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum or directed energy to attack an enemy. It is not limited to radio or radar frequencies but also includes ir, visible, ultraviolet and other portions of the EM spectrum.
