Bosch snaps up MEMS microphone specialist
MEMS microphone specialist Akustica has been bought by Robert Bosch for an undisclosed amount.
Akustica develops and sells a range of digital and analogue cmos MEMS based microphones and the company is said to fit well with Bosch's MEMS sensor business.
"The strategic acquisition of Akustica with its outstanding application of sophisticated MEMS technology complements our growing semiconductor business and ideally complements our ongoing MEMS activities," said Dr Stefan Kampmann, executive vice president, Bosch Automotive Electronics."
