Building a new image
Aiming to meet demand for turnkey image sensor solutions for industrial and professional markets, a team of former FillFactory staff has created cmosis. Services available from the VC backed privately held company range from sensor design, prototyping, characterisation, packaging, qualification and volume production.
Guy Meynants, cmosis’ ceo, said: “Based on our cmos image sensor IP … we are convinced that cmosis will become very rapidly a key player in the realm of solid state imaging devices.”
The company’s technology portfolio is based upon IP related to advanced aspects of image sensors, including high fill factor pixels, new methods to make high yielding large area devices, column a/d converters and methods to increase the dynamic range. The company is also working on ways to implement time delay and integration image capture operation in cmos.
