According to the company, the approach improves PCB reliability by keeping electronic components from being exposed to the external environment, while protecting them from mechanical effects, temperature and corrosion.
Nano Dimension notes that 3D printing makes soldering obsolete as connectivity between components takes place as part of the 3D printing process. Using 3D printing is also said to enable thinner, more protected PCBs.
