Cyber security challenge seeks Raspberry Pi enthusiasts

Looking to address a skills gap in the UK cyber security industry, Abingdon based software specialist Sophos has called on the developer and coding community to create designs for a Raspberry Pi based cyber security device.
The winning idea will be built with the support of the facilities and experts at Sophos and used in a future competition from the Cyber Security Challenge, which runs a series of national competitions aimed at attracting more people into the cyber defence profession.
James Lyne, director of technology strategy at Sophos, commented: "The creative, technology loving community that has sprung up around the success of Raspberry Pi involves exactly the sort of people that would be perfect for a career in cyber security.
"The Pi technology is so versatile, and we are all excited to see what these guys can come up with and look forward to showing the winner around our labs here at Sophos to turn it into a real device."
If you have an innovative idea that you think could win the challenge, send your full details, including any images and plans to competitions@cybersecuritychallenge.org.uk .
