Digital isolator series features ‘industry leading’ high voltage insulation

The ACML-74x0 series is said to deliver the industry's most robust insulation performance and is targeted at test and measurement, medical imaging and industrial applications. The cmos digital isolators feature thick, multi layer insulation and are UL recognised at 5.6kVRMS for one minute. Operating temperature is rated at -40 to 105°C. During data transmission, the devices send low current pulses across the isolation barrier. According to Avago, they are able to maintain low electromagnetic interference emissions even at high data rates. The isolators integrate a quad channel structure and offer uni or bi directional configurations to provide pcb savings.
