Arrow Electronics’ presence at electronica 2018 will comprise three core pillars: an IoT zone and Arrow Software Solutions on the main booth (Hall C4/412) and an additional area within electronica Fast Forward, the start-up area in Hall C5.
Arrow aggregates electronics and enterprise computing solutions for customers and suppliers in industrial commercial markets. Its capabilities now extend to support customers with complete technology platforms and solutions.
The IoT zone will feature a mixture of products split between end-user devices, business-to-business applications, market-ready solutions and ready-for-production systems. According to Arrow, these will showcase capabilities including, amongst others, gesture recognition, voice activation and smart lighting. Staff will be on hand to explain the applications, technologies and products involved, and how Arrow and its suppliers were able to assist in bringing the product to completion in each case.
While the Arrow Software Solutions section will concentrate on bridging from embedded hardware to IT infrastructure. Covering real business use cases, it will demonstrate how to implement security, cloud access and data ingestion, data analytics, machine learning, data visualisation, and AI. It will also show how to utilise individual supplier technology and create secure connections to cloud solutions and services. Interactive demonstrations by Arrow application engineers will show visitors how to simply connect IoT devices to the cloud and set up monitoring and control systems using widgets within software tools. There will also be demonstrations of how the arrow.com site can be used as a rich resource for products and services.
In electronica Fast Forward, the start-up and young entrepreneur platform, Arrow will feature its own range of development boards and a selection of related applications. These will include IoT, communication, AI, HMI, sensors, voice command and vision. The event will also see the culmination of an international design competition, open to the public, in which developers were asked to come up with innovative designs using Arrow development boards. The winner and best three designs will be showcased on the booth.
Conrad Business Supplies
Conrad Business Supplies says it will once again be represented at electronica 2018 in Munich with a 226m2 stand in hall C5, booth 135. Conrad will also present its latest innovations at electronica Experience in the new hall C6 with an area of 18m2 (stand 308) under the title “Conrad Maker & Education”.
The B2B distributor will use this year's appearance to explain its customer-focused ecosystem to B2B customers and offer practical benefits to procurement departments. Visitors can also look forward to an extensive lecture program.
Mouser Electronics is once again partnering with TTI at Stand 550 in Hall C3 under the slogan “From Design Chain to Supply Chain … Your Complete Distribution Solution.”
“Electronica is an exciting event, but it can also be exhausting. Mouser and TTI will offer a relaxed, friendly and informal area, providing a bit of fun while visitors explore what we offer,” explained Graham Maggs, Vice President Marketing, Mouser EMEA. “We hope that more than a view visitors will walk away with a new dev kit, and that all will have new insight into what Mouser is all about, revitalised with good coffee and ready to experience the rest of the show.”

Visitors to Mouser’s booth at Stand 550 in Hall C3 can pick up a free cup of coffee and test their luck at the “Spin to Win” game for a chance to win one of over 1,500 development kits up for grabs over the course of the four-day event. Visitors can also play “Pick Pack Ship”, a skills game where players help Matt the Mouser Robot pull as many components as possible while navigating through the Mouser warehouse.
Making its debut at electronica 2018 is Mouser’s augmented reality (AR) installation, "Future Cities,” that combines a physical landscape model with an interactive 3D AR content overlay, taking visitors on a journey through the city of the future, and featuring the technology and suppliers that will make it possible.
Visitors to the Mouser stand can also meet with representatives of our EMEA customer service team and discuss their Mouser experience. This year, to enhance this opportunity, there is a Customer Service area, where our US based web team will be collecting visitor’s feedback about mouser.com.

RS Components
RS Components says it will be showcasing the latest technologies from world-leading vendors and enabling visitors to find inspiration for their next engineering project (Hall C5, Stand 147). Visitors to the RS stand will also be able take part in many special events, including a Robot Football Tournament, a Wheel of Fortune game and the Big Step Challenge – with many prizes to be won, including a €2500 holiday voucher.
Present on the 450-square-metre RS stand will be key innovators who have been an inspiration to engineers around the world. For example, in the ‘For The Inspired’ zone, visitors can find out more about the innovative projects achieved by customers and suppliers, including:
- ‘Ambionics’ – how its founder, Ben Ryan, is changing young children’s lives by using 3D printing technology to develop prosthetic arms
- Hyperloop – the story of how RS is supporting the HYPED team from the University of Edinburgh to accelerate the development of Hyperloop
- Influential inventor Norbert Heinz – who will be showing a CNC router built with basic electronic components, all controlled by the latest Raspberry Pi
- Industry-leading brands are bringing the latest engineering technologies and products to customers, enabling them to pioneer product developments that transform our world
In the DesignSpark zone, there will be demos of RS’ suite of professional CAD software tools; plus innovative designs created using DesignSpark tools and support. And in the ‘RS Pro’ zone there will be a real-life workbench that showcases a range of RS Pro electronics, electrical and mechanical products, including hand tools, tool chests, test and measurement equipment, and the latest RS Pro 3D printer.
In addition to the RS stand, and specifically aimed at the next generation of engineers, RS has a presence in Hall C6 – the electronica experience hall. This area will focus on a range of STEM-based educational demos and activities.
