embedded world: Co-exhibiting trend continues in 2011

LCDs and LEDs are two very important drivers for innovation and development of electronic devices and applications in almost every kind of industry. As intelligent HMI (Human-Machine-Interface) LCDs are to be found in industrial controls, information clusters of different means of transportation, phones and other communication equipment, white goods, toys, audio visual equipment, just to mention a few. LEDs on the other hand are currently revolutionizing the lighting markets across the globe. In both areas – displays and solid state lighting.
Following the successful concept of co-exhibiting at last year's Embedded World, Sharp will be continuing to follow this approach for 2011, presenting its latest innovations at the stands of Arrow (Hall 12, Stand 12-366) and Rutronik (Hall 12, Stand 12-352).
"The close cooperation at trade shows enables us to support our partners, particularly in even better serving customers," said Fabio Perfetti, distribution manager at Sharp Microelectronics Europe.
At the Rutronik stand the focus will be on Sharp's LED technology with its entire range on display. This includes white light LEDs for general lighting uses, coloured LEDs for decorative lighting and accessory components from a few system partners such as lenses, reflectors, cooling elements and control units. As a highlight Sharp is presenting new high power LED modules from the Megazeni series for the first time.
At Arrow, displays are the focus, with a range of TFT LCDs with LED backlight for industrial applications - including the new 1200cd/m² bright 12in display as a highlight. Memory LCDs, which only require around 1% of the power consumption of conventional TFT LCDs are also on display, as well as the so called 'Solar Reader', a reference design jointly developed by Sharp and Arrow.
