Fab equipment spending to remain flat in 2013
Fab equipment spending for front end facilities is expected to be flat in 2013, remaining around $31.7billion.
In 2014, however, industry association SEMI says this figure will increase by 24% to $39.3bn.
The company also forecasts that in 2013 increases for fab equipment spending will vary by technology node and that fab construction spending will increase by 6.7% overall, with major spending in China.
