Freescale names TI exec as president and ceo
Gregg Lowe has been named president and ceo of Freescale Semiconductor with immediate effect. Lowe joins Freescale from Texas Instruments, where he was senior vice president and manager of the analogue business.
Daniel McCranie, chairman of the Freescale board, said: "On behalf of the board, I am pleased to welcome Gregg to Freescale. He is a proven leader and his extensive semiconductor experience makes him qualified to build upon Freescale's strong foundation, leading the company to our next stage of growth."
Lowe has a range of experience with TI, including managing its microcontroller and asic businesses. He joined TI's analogue business in 2001, managing the high speed communications and controls segment, before assuming responsibility for high performance analogue products.
