Full brick module family updated
1 min read
The PFE-SA series of AC/DC full brick power modules from TDK Lambda is said to represent a significant upgrade to the PFE-S series launched five years ago.
The PFE300SA and PFE500SA are fully regulated devices with the same main circuit and structure as previous devices, providing a board mounted AC/DC solution for a range of applications.
The PFE300-SA and PFE500SA are available with nominal outputs of 12V, 28V and 48V nominal outputs, which can be adjusted over a ±20% range. The PFE300SA can deliver full power with a baseplate temperature of between -40 and 100°C. The 12V variant of the PFE500SA has a maximum baseplate temperature of 85°C, while the 28V and 48V models deliver the same output at temperatures of up to 100°C. Line and load regulation is 0.4% and efficiency is said to exceed 85% in all versions.
All models in the PFE-SA series accept an input ranging from 85 to 265V AC at 47 to 63Hz and have active power factor correction. With an input to output isolation of 3kV for one minute, the parts also have overvoltage, overcurrent and over temperature protection.
