Going for recycled gold
Medals presented at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver will contain metal recovered from electronics waste.

The metal will be supplied by Canadian company Teck Resources, whose president and ceo Don Lindsay said: "We're excited that these medals will contain recycled metal recovered from end of life electronics, consistent with the sustainability philosophy of the Olympic and Paralympic Games."
