IPS appoints Avnet Memec as pan-European distributor
US solid state battery manufacturer Infinite Power Solutions (IPS) has appointed Avnet Memec as its pan-European distributor. The agreement will enable semiconductor specialist Avnet Memec to provide a broader product range for the growing energy harvesting segment.
According to IDTechEx, the energy harvesting market will grow from $700million to $4.37billion by 2012. IPS hopes its 4V Thinergy micro energy cells (MECs) will be an important component in the market's future solutions.
"Avnet Memec was a natural choice for becoming our pan-European distributor," commented David Squires, vp of business development at IPS. "The depth of market and design expertise demonstrated by the team will enable them to take our products into new markets and applications across Europe."
