Israeli V2X chipset to feature in global platform

A chipset from Israeli V2X specialist Autotalks is being designed into a global V2X platform being developed by Denso. According to Autotalks, the prototyping phase has started, with the intention to start high volume production in 2019, initially in North America.

V2X systems connect vehicles, infrastructure and pedestrians, with the aim of increasing confidence and preventing accidents.

Hagai Zyss, Autotalks’ CEO, said: “Autotalks is proud to cooperate with Denso on a truly secure mass market optimised V2X system. This cooperation not only validates Autotalks’ technology, but also shows its capability to satisfy Denso’s quality and support demands.”

Autotalks’ next generation devices integrate a mobility optimised modem, a dual antenna with RX/TX diversity and perform line-rate verification of cryptographic messages. They also feature a low latency V2X hardware security module. Designed for cryptoagility and scalability, the parts are said to be capable of operating at high temperatures.
