Kit fit for all levels
Microchip's new Picdem lab development kit is an entry level platform for all of Microchip's 8bit flash PIC mcus with 20 or fewer pins.
Aimed at all levels of microcontroller users, the kit comes complete with five 8bit PIC mcus, along with a selection of discrete components, a PICkit 2 debugger / programmer and a cd containing a user's guide, labs and application examples.
A solderless prototyping area on the lab development board allows users to explore various application examples described in the 'hands on' labs from the user's guide that comes with the kit. The labs provide an introduction to common peripherals and then move into a variety of application examples to reinforce core concepts. All of the code examples are written in C and can be compiled using the Hi Tech C compiler, available as a free download.
