The schematic, PCB and collaboration tool features a new routing engine with an easy schematic editor; precise selection; instantaneous BGA fan out engine for high-pin count parts; and reusable circuitry that stays synced between the schematic and PCB.
The design software offers multi-sheet schematics with synced connectivity; electrical rule check to verify pin names and connections with customisable net classes; and dynamic design sync make to sync changes between the schematic and PCB layout.
The PCB layout provides assembly variants, a design rule check, and high speed routing tools for DDR4, PCI Express, and USB-C.
The EAGLE library features 3D component models; complete parts, including symbols, footprints, 3D models, datasheets, and more; as well as dynamic part data with a direct link to manufacturer inventories.
EAGLE is available as an annual subscription in either standard or premium versions. This enables free updates, dedicated support through Autodesk and budgeting options for monthly or annual pricing.
“From a broad set of new features to subscription licensing transition our customers’ patience has paid off as the evolution of the product takes a significant step forward,” said Peter Wenzel, element14 global software product line manager.
Standard versions support up to two signal layers and board areas of up to 160cm2, whereas the premium version supports up to 16 signal layers and has no limit on board area.
