Low cost debug probe maximises use of STM32 mcus
STMicroelectronics has announced what it describes as an extremely low cost and highly featured development environment.
The ST-Link debug probe is designed to allow low volume designs to target a range of over 70 ARM Cortex-M3 based microcontrollers.
The Atollic TrueStudio/STM32 development tool, can be downloaded for free ('Lite' version) and used with ST's ST-Link debug probe to connect to a target via USB.
Atollic TrueStudio/STM32 features a GNU compiler/debugger for ARM processors, pre-compiled runtime libraries are also included in the free of charge 'Lite' version of the tool. More capabilities are available by purchasing the 'Pro' version, including C++ language support, PC based build/debug tools, graphical tools including UML diagram editors and collaboration features such as version control and bug/task management.
