LTE chipset achieves download speeds of more than 18Mb/s

Altair Semiconductor's TD-LTE chipset, integrated in a USB dongle achieved download speeds of more than 50Mb/s and upload speeds of more than 18Mb/s in a live demo at the Next Generation Mobile Network (NGMN) Alliance board meeting.
The dongle was developed by AsiaTelco Technologies. As part of the demonstration, Altair's chipset provided high speed broadband internet service for the attending participants.
The 4G LTE specialist is shipping one of the first commercial TDD/FDD LTE chipsets in the market and has completed several months of rigorous testing with China Mobile.
