Luso Electronics deal expands its power portfolio

Luso Electronics Distribution has announced it has become UK and Ireland distributor for the N2Power range of ultra small high efficiency ac/dc and dc/dc power supplies.
California based N2Power develops and manufactures ultra small open frame switching power supplies based on patented technology. The N2Power product range includes more than 90 ac/dc and dc/dc models rated from 125 to 375W.
The agreement is the third deal for Luso since it was established in May 2011 as a division of Luso Electronics. The company works with a limited number of complementary franchises for it provides technical and commercial support. N2Power was founded in 1998 and acquired in 2002 by Qualstar, a manufacturer of automated tape storage solutions.
"This is a very significant addition to our power conversion offering", said David Zelkha, managing director of Luso Electronics. "Offering industry leading heat dissipation, the N2Power range offers highly compact and highly efficient devices, with some models delivering power densities of more than 15W per cubic inch."
Randy Johnson, vice president and general manager of N2Power, added: "We are confident that Luso, as a small, flexible and extremely well focused company with real expertise, is going to play a key role in creating demand for our power technologies within leading customers."
