LynuxWorks announces ‘mil grade’ rtos upgrade
Embedded software specialist LynuxWorks has launched version 7.0 of the LynxOS real time operating system.
According to the company, the upgrade will allow developers to apply 'military grade security' to their systems. It also contains support for long haul network comms and for the short haul networks common with M2M applications.
Robert Day vp of sales and marketing, said: "We expect all our embedded market segments – from military and aerospace to office automation – to benefit from the security and networking improvements in this next generation of LynxOS."
LynxOS 7.0 supports a range of processors, including the Intel's 4th generation Core i7 and Core i5 and Freescale's QorIQ range.
