Metal packaged dc/dc converters

XP Power has extended its range of low power dc/dc converters with the addition of 15W and 30W devices.
The 15W JCM15 is supplied in a 1 x 1in metal package, while the 30W JCK30 is available in a metal case measuring 2 x 1in. The encapsulated pcb mounted converters feature a 2:1 input voltage range, accepting either 9 to 18, 18 to 36 or 36 to 75V dc.
This covers the nominal inputs of +12, +24 or +48V dc. Single output models provide +3.3, +5, +12 or +15V dc, while dual output devices offer ±5, ±12 or ±15V dc. All outputs are regulated to within ±0.5% across all input and load conditions for the single output models and to less than ±1% for the dual output parts.
The JCK30 can operate at full output power in temperatures ranging from -40° to 50°C, while the JCM15 runs at up to 65°C without derating. A maximum case temperature of 105°C is possible without the need for additional heat sinking or forced airflow.
