The AirPrime WP series modules are intended to simplify the development and deployment of M2M systems.
They include a multicore processor that incorporates dedicated application cores, an advanced open application framework, development tools and built in connectivity.
Olivier Pauzet, vp of marketing and market strategy for M2M, said: "The M2M market is fragmented, with a lot of complexity. It's increasingly hard for oems to add services and to develop technology that can stay in the market for a long time."
AirPrime comprises a multicore processor, an open application framework and secure cloud services. The processor, which will include an applications core, will simplify design, said Pauzet, while the apps framework will offer a set of libraries and tools that will help developers to get products to market more quickly.
