More functionality for ultra large form factor PCT touch sensors
Industrial touchscreen specialist Zytronic has unveiled the latest product to utilise its Projected Capacitive Technology (PCT) at electronica.
The ZXY100/128 controller is designed to support touchscreens greater than 50in across and is supported by the company's WHQL certified driver. It provides features such as dual touch output for linkage to 'multi touch' or gesture recognition software, Windows 7 plug and play, in field upgradeability and reduced pcb footprint.
At the heart of the controller is a 32bit ARM microprocessor containing Zytronic's proprietary firmware, along with a custom designed asic which incorporates the multiplexing functionality of a number of analogue components. An onboard Flash memory also enables in field firmware updates to be performed.
