Murata acquires Panasonic's mlcc business
Ceramic passive components supplier, Murata Manufacturing has purchased the multilayer ceramic capacitor (mlcc) business from Panasonic Electronic Devices (PED).
The acquisition will see PED's technology, distribution partners and customers transferred to Murata.
Murata has stated that it aims to strengthen its offering by providing products that accommodate diversifying customer needs.
