Murata to acquire RF Monolithics
Murata Electronics has signed a definitive agreement to acquire RF Monolithics, a provider of technology enabled wireless connectivity.
"RFM's proven success in developing business in the healthcare, energy and industrial markets compliments Murata's growth strategy," said David Kirk, Murata's president and ceo.
"Leveraging RFM's expertise in design and development of production ready rf modules, SAW based and rfic short range radios, stand alone radio systems and platforms for M2M applications will enable us to increase the value of the wireless module solutions delivered to our existing and future customers in the global marketplace."
The all cash deal is expected to close in Q3 2012.
