New ceo for tv white space start up
Stan Boland has taken over as ceo of Neul, the Cambridge based start up pioneering the use of the tv white space spectrum for M2M communications.
Boland was previously ceo and co-founder of UK based soft-modem company Icera. Prior to this, he was also ceo and co-founder of element14.
"I am thrilled to be joining Neul, probably the most exciting company globally in the wireless space," Boland commented.
Neul was founded in Cambridge in 2010 by a team of ex CSR staff.
In February this year it unveiled Iceni, the first ever transceiver chip capable of tuning across the entire UHF tv white space spectrum (470 to 790MHz).
The company's aim, according to its founder and now cto James Collier, is to bring about a revolution in the way devices and applications communicate, enabling the Internet of everything.
