Only one day left to enter this year’s BEEAs

You have just one day left to enter the 2013 British Engineering Excellence Awards (BEEAs). Do you have what it takes to win?

Now in their fifth year, the BEEAs aim to promote the quality of engineering design within the UK and celebrate the companies and individuals that have demonstrated the skills, invention and dedication to succeed and compete on an international stage During the past four years of the Awards, winning entries have ranged in size from chip designs to pipe laying systems, with the Grand Prix – the best of the best – awarded to a kinetic energy recovery system, an engineer who designed a system to save water on a massive scale, a marine communications company and a diesel engine crankcase ventilator. "The great thing from our point of view is that every year the quality of entries improves – and we don't think 2013 should be any different," said Ed Tranter, chief executive of Awards organiser Findlay Media. "Ask yourself whether your company has a success story to tell. And if you do, then enter this year's BEEAs." Whether your company is involved in electronics or engineering design, or whether it works in both sectors, we encourage you to enter – there's a range of categories to choose from and all the information you'll need is available at www.beeas.co.uk. Entries will close on 31 July and will be judged by an expert panel chaired by Eric Wilkinson, Chief Operating Officer of Cambridge Consultants. The Awards will be presented at a lunch event, being held at 8 Northumberland Avenue, London on 24 October.
