Optical sampling pc scopes offer 20GHz bandwidth
Pico Technology has unveiled the PicoScope 9300 series of pc based sampling oscilloscopes.
All the models integrate a 9.5GHz optical fibre to electrical converter with a two channel, 20GHz pc sampling scope.
The devices can be used for pre-compliance testing, fault finding and margin testing on electrical serial data signals such as 10Gb Ethernet, SONET/SDH STM64 and FEC1071, 10x Fibre Channel, InfiniBand and PCI Express.
The scopes also have LAN and USB interfaces, as well as large screen display features such as colour and density profiling, multiple trace windows, histograms, multiple measurements and statistics.
With a sampling rate of 1MS/s, Pico Technology says they can build waveforms and persistence displays "faster than other sampling oscilloscopes".
