Photonics conference marks 50th anniversary of semiconductor laser

The session and reception will discuss the industry's progress since the first operational semiconductor laser and include historical perspectives and experiences from pioneers such as James Coleman, Thomas Koch and Don Scifres who have helped development of the technology.
