PICMG 1.0 format board boasts quad core cpu
DSM Computer says its industrial slot cpu, the 96M4297o, conforms to the PICMG 1.0 standard. However, to provide high computing and graphical performance, the card features the second generation Intel Core processor.
The most powerful member of the range features the quad core Intel Core i7-2600 running at 3.4GHz. But the slot CPU can also be supplied with the quad core Intel Core i5-2400 running at 3.1GHz or the dual core Intel Core i3-2120 running at 3.3GHz. Less performance intensive applications are cated for with a dual core Pentium G850 running at 2.9GHz or a 2.5GHz Celeron G540. An Intel H61 chipset is also featured on the board, which can accommodate up to 16Gbyte of DDR3 memory.
Standard interfaces include two fast Gigabit LAN interfaces, HD audio, GPIO, serial and parallel connections. There are 12 USB ports – two USB 3.0 and 10 USB 2.0 – while a serial ATA interface is also available.
