Printed Electronics champion named
Stuart Evans, founding ceo of Plastic Logic, has been named Printed Electronics Champion of 2007 at the inaugural IDTechEx Printed Electronics Awards.
Plastic Logic was spun out of Cambridge University's Cavendish Laboratory in 2000. Its target market is ‘take anywhere, read anywhere’ electronic readers incorporating flexible active matrix displays with millions of printed transistors. These readers will be thin, light and robust, enabling a reading experience closer to paper than any other technology.
Other winners at the awards included: Menippos, for the Best Commercialisation of Printed Electronics; Pelikon, for the Best Technical Development – Devices; and Merck for the Best Technical Development – Materials.
