Programmable power supply range extended
TDK-Lambda has expanded its Genesys range of 3.3kW and 5kW 2U format programmable power supplies to increase application reach.
New models with outputs ranging from 0 to 200V dc have been added to the 3.3kW and 5kW portfolios. Meanwhile, the 5kW range has been extended with models offering 0 to 400V dc and 0 to 500V dc outputs.
The power supplies accept three phase inputs for operation from 170 to 265V ac or from 342 to 460V. Additionally, the 3.3kW models are available for use with single phase supplies ranging from 170 to 265V ac.
All models feature active power factor correction, and include such safety features as user selectable safe start and auto restart options. Safe Start allows the power supply to return to the last used settings after a power interruption, but with the output disabled.
A built in RS232/485 interface allows up to 31 power supplies to be controlled in daisy chain fashion over an RS485 line. Analogue remote programming is user selectable 0 to 5V or 0 to 10V via dip switches on the rear panel.
