Programmable solution bridges between incompatible devices

Programmable solutions developer QuickLogic has introduced a range of display interface and enhancement solutions aimed at mobile devices. Called the ArcticLink III VX series, the parts are said to bridge between incompatible interfaces in processors and displays.
Building on the latest generation of QuickLogic's Visual Enhancement Engine (VEE) and its Display Power Optimisation (DPO) technologies, ArcticLink III VX is said to handle 'virtually all' displays used in tablets and smartphones.
"Mobile device developers are often forced to make compromises in their display choices," says Brian Faith, pictured, QuickLogic's vp of worldwide sales and marketing. "The ArcticLink III VX series offers system designers multiple solutions to address their specific needs through the combination of the bridging, pass through and dual output architectures, with resolution support up to 1920 x 1200, coupled with our VEE HD+ and DPO HD+ technologies."
The ArcticLink III VX series features 13 products. To support mismatched interface systems, certain products feature integrated bridging between the RGB, MIPI DSI and LVDS standards. ArcticLink III VX also offers a number of MIPI 'pass-through' interface architectures.
