"The combination of Qualcomm Atheros' broad home gateway IP portfolio and Ikanos' wired modem technology is designed to create a complete solution for a range of home gateway products to better serve the carrier segment."
The deal is said to bring a range of technologies into the Atheros stable, including A/VDSL2 and G.fast modem technology and chipsets, and multimode gateway processor and accelerator technology.
