Roke Manor Research has won The Queen's Award for Enterprise and Innovation for its modular manpack electronic warfare system.
Designed for the exploitation and suppression of hostile communication equipment, RESOLVE is now in service with the UK Ministry of Defence and is doing well in the global export market. RESOLVE provides users with rapid target identification and geolocation through the use of a dedicated Management Information System and Geospatial Information System.
The Roke team will be presented with the award by the Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire, Dame Mary Fagan DCVO, who is The Queen's representative in the county. Dave Smith, managing director of Roke Manor Research, said winning the award for RESOLVE was recognition at the highest level for what the team had achieved.
"Roke has been at the forefront of electronic warfare development since the 1950s and our continuous programme of investment has created a world beating range of electronic warfare products," he noted. "We are extremely proud that our commitment to innovation has been recognised with such a prestigious award."
The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are highly prestigious and granted for outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of Innovation, International Trade and Sustainable Development.
