Rattner steps down as Intel's chief technology officer
Justin Rattner is stepping down as Intel's chief technology officer. He is taking personal leave and will return to Intel at a later date in a role to be determined.
Rattner joined Intel in 1973 and was named its first principal engineer in 1979, its fourth Intel Fellow in 1988 and was in the first group of Intel Fellows to be named Senior Fellow in 2001.
Intel's ceo Brian Krzanich has thanked Rattner for his leadership in creating one of the leading research organisations in the high tech industry.
