Renesas adds Express Logic, extends software support programme

Renesas Electronics Europe has extended its RX ecosystem support programme for European customers and added Express Logic as a partner.
"We are glad to team up with Express Logic as a new software alliance partner for this innovative ecosystem support programme," said Bernd Westhoff, RX product manager at Renesas Electronics Europe. "The Express Logic software solutions, combined with the scalable 32bit RX MCU platform, creates an ideal base for any customer application."
Renesas has joined with selected partners since February 2013 to provide software tools and libraries tailored to RX microcontroller family to help accelerate time to market for RX customers. The support programme has now been extended until February 2015.
According to Renesas, the programme provides qualifying customers with free development boards and free software, as well as access to the RX ecosystem. Under the scheme, customers can submit their designs to Renesas to qualify for free of charge commercial software worth up to €20,000.
"Express Logic is honoured to be invited to participate in the Renesas RX ecosystem support programme in Europe," said Bill Lamie, Express Logic's president and CEO. "Renesas' customers can take advantage of the RX ecosystem support programme and gain access to our leading RTOS products free of charge."
Other members of the programme include Segger, Micrium, port GmbH, TMG, HCC Embedded and Wittenstein.
