Renesas Electronics unveils additions to highest performance microcontrollers
Renesas Electronics has announced four new additions to its V850E2M/MN4 microcontroller family – the world's highest performance industrial embedded Flash mcus.

The 32bit All Flash mcus, uPD70F3515, uPD70F3514, uPD70F3512 and the uPD70F3510, are designed to provide processing performance of up to 1024 Dhrystone MIPS at a clock speed of 200MHz. According to the semiconductor specialist, this makes the V850E2M/MN4 the world's highest performance industrial embedded Flash mcu.
The devices have up to two built in cpu cores, up to 2MB of Flash memory and are available in a 304pin fine pitch ball grid array package. Single core versions have 64KB of ram and dual core versions have 128KB of ram.
Renesas says the V850E2M/MN4 family is suitable for factory automation systems, drives, servo drives, industrial inverters and household equipment.
