The Smart Panel PC can be integrated into existing systems, helping companies and public institutions gain effective and secure access management.
The touch display in combination with the 2-megapixel camera, loudspeaker and temperature sensor integrated in the housing forms the front end, offering a discreet integration into the environment. The actual data synchronisation is carried out via specially developed software on an external server connected to the MM8 via a network. The values are processed and, depending on the organiser's specifications, appropriate commands return to the device. For the output of commands to external devices both an RS-232 and Wiegand interface are available.
With a recognition time of less than 0.5 seconds, the binocular infrared camera is highly efficient. The device compares biometric data based on a stored profile and is able to detect changes in a person. Photo or video material is distinguished from real people and thus unauthorised visitors are denied access. The combination with an intelligent voice output creates a smart system to increase safety. The display also acts as an information board, providing opening hours without initiating data reconciliation.
For companies using the MM8 as an internal access management system, the optional smart card reader with a response time of 0.2 seconds, ISO14443A and cloud connection is an efficient and convenient way to track presence in real time. In addition, there is a stand-alone version that is not connected to an external server. Here the internal memory scores with 8GB, which has space for data of over 100,000 people. The USB interface allows easy data extraction for internal analysis.
Due to its fast, intuitive interaction capabilities, the MM8 is seen as being used by public transport, airports, hospitals and care facilities, as well as for companies and events.
