SmartRectifier ic said to simplify system design
Power management specialist International Rectifier has launched the IR1169, a high speed synchronous rectifier controller for flyback, forward and half bridge converters.
The device, part of the company's range of SmartRectifier ics, features a sync function that turns off the mosfet to prevent reverse current flow under continuous conduction mode operation.
It also features IR's proprietary 200V high voltage ic technology and supports burst mode operation.
The company claims the module delivers increased power density and greater efficiency in flyback, forward and half bridge topologies, while simplifying design and reducing component count to lower overall system cost.
