Solid State buys 2K1 for £2.4m
Solid State has acquired 2001 Electronic Components (2K1), a UK based supplier of electronic components, for £2.4million.
The deal represents the largest ever acquisition by Solid State.
The two companies' multiple synergetic lines include leds, power supplies and displays.
Solid State's managing director, John Macmichael (pictured), said: "We have achieved annual compound growth of 22% over the last four years, far outstripping market growth.
"This acquisition will accelerate the trend and will enable us to extend our value added business while offering customers a broader range of complementary products and technologies."
