Power management specialist, Dialog Semiconductor has announced its audio codec technology has been adopted by Sony.

According to Dialog, the DA7211 is the industry's lowest power audio codec and will be used in Sony's new series of compact digital recorders. Sony has already launched this high end IC recorder product series. "The DA7211 delivers the ultimate mix of high performance audio with ultra low power consumption allowing Sony to extend the battery lifetime and playback time of their new series of IC Recorders. With our first audio products only released in the last 12 months, we are proud of this early success with Sony."
