Speaker driver ic brings improved sound to Ultrabooks
Dialog's new DA7202 speaker driver ic is designed to bring improved sound levels and efficiency to dual cell battery powered portable devices, without compromising sound quality.
Available in a 9 bump WLCSP package, the Class D speaker provides 90dB Total Harmonic Distortion plus noise (THD+N) and 100dB Signal to Noise ratio.
Additional benefits include short circuit and thermal overload protection; differential audio inputs for improved resistance to external noise; and low electromagnetic interference.
"The DA7202 perfectly addresses the requirements of the Ultrabook and other portable device markets powered by a dual cell battery pack," said Dialog's Udo Kratz. "Traditional amplifiers integrated in a CODEC are limited in the power they can supply, but our new external Class D amplifier offers a powerful and more efficient solution for the expanding dual cell market."
