Surtech buys ip rights to power distribution units
Enclosures and accessories specialist, Surtech Distribution, has announced that it has acquired the ip rights to a range of power distribution units (pdus) manufactured by Suffolk based Modular Power Products.
The distributor says it will now manufacture and stock a standard range of vertical and horizontal 19in mountable pdus at its Andover headquarters. Units have standard 13A UK or IEC outlets and other standard configurations will be available if demand grows.
Sonia Johnson, sales manager at Surtech, said: "Modular Power Products pdus perfectly complement our range of enclosure systems; they can be factory fitted into racks during final assembly. Our Andover in house manufacturing facility enables us to be flexible enough to supply bespoke customer systems at low cost and on minimum lead times."
